The Swimming Metro South West Open Water Championships is an exciting marathon series event held at the Sydney International Regatta Centre, Penrith Lakes.
The Championships offer a junior 2.5km event for those aged 11 to 13 years. For competitors aged at least 12 years, there is a 5km swim on offer. With this event there is the opportunity for a 10km swim thru, however athletes must be at least 13 to take part.
The Sydney International Regatta Centre is home to other fun recreational activities. Row, sail or kayak on a world-class waterway or rollerblade, scooter or cycle the scenic 5km lakeside path.

The marathon series event involves three swims. There is a junior 2.5km swim for 11 to 13 year old competitors. A 5km event is open to swimmers as young as 12 with the opportunity for a 10km swim thru for those athletes aged 13 and above.
