I grew up in Townsville with a marine biologist for a mother so I learned to swim at a young age and was always in the water, whether it was in our pool, the creek, snorkelling and scuba diving at the reef, or the occasional swimming race with my school team. I am a confident (though not overly fast) swimmer, and love being in the water. I haven't done open water swimming before, but I have recently been inspired to try, and am wondering if it will be enough to convert me into being a morning person!
