The Margaret River Ocean Swim is a 1km around-the-buoys ocean swim at Gnarabup Bay, Western Australia.
Organisers like to emphasise that this event is for everyone to have fun and encourage each other whether you are a speedier fish doing it for a race or you just want a leisurely swim.
Swimmers are allowed to wear fins, wetsuits, a snorkel or pull buoy if they choose but they will not be eligible for the fastest male or female award.
Spot prizes will be handed out throughout the event.
