Enjoy an invigorating swim at Waiheke Island in the middle of winter

The summer season might be over but are you looking for something invigorating to do this winter? The Iceberg at Waiheke Island is for you.
The Iceberg is the tenth and final swim of the New Zealand Ocean Swim Series and aims to celebrate life in New Zealland by wining, dining and taking a refreshing mid-winter dip.
Consisting of four different swim events, The Iceberg provides an ocean swim event for all ages and abilities
- The 2km Iceberg is the main event for experienced swimmers and will take participants from Little Oneroa Beach to Oneroa Main Beach
- The 750m Icicle is a swim from Little Oneroa Beach to Oneroa Main Beach and is an achievable distance for most individuals with swimming experience.
- The 250m Ice Cube takes swimmers off Oneroa Beach around iceberg marker buoys.
- The Ice Splash is the New Zealand Ocean Swim Series famous run in, get wet, get out. Participants have the option to dress up in Fancy dress. $5 from each entry will be donated to Waiheke Local causes.
Fun spot prizes will also be up for grabs throughout the day.
Warm up quickly post swim with a hot shower and change in the heated change tents before enjoying the carnival atmosphere with food, drink and music.
Be sure to stay the weekend and savour the island’s magical sights, boutique shops, wonderful walking trails and find dining experience at exclusive vineyards.
