Lake Whakatipu, Queenstown is home to one of New Zealand’s most breathtaking open-water swimming races. This Winter edition will see swimmers take the plunge at frosty Queenstown Beach, where water temperatures can reach anywhere from 8 – 11 degrees.

Swimmers can choose from two distances; either the 500m, The Frigid Swim which is one lap or the 1km, Bond Chilling which is two laps.
