The Merewether Mackerels are the premier Winter Swimmng Club in the Newcastle area (just ask any of our members).

The club was formed in 1972 by members of the Merewether Surf Life Saving Club.

The club welcomes swimmers of all ages (our youngest member is 11, our oldest 98) and abilities.

We swim every Sunday morning (swimming starts at 8.30 am) from May through to September at the magnificent Merewether Ocean Baths, located in Merewether, Newcastle. Meet us at the pool, or contact us on Facebook.
