Join swimmers from all over Australia for the Gold Coast's premier ocean swim.
There are four distances on offer, from 1km to 5km, but it's always the 2.0km Cooly Classic from Snapper Rocks to Kirra Beach which attracts the masses.
Your start line, Snapper Rocks, is one of the world's most famous surf breaks. Then, your course is a straight line to Kirra Beach, passing Rainbow Bay, Greenmount and Coolangatta Beaches as you swim.
Regardless of which distance you choose, you're guaranteed to experience the crystal clear waters of Southern Gold Coast in autumn and that's a must-do for any swimmer.
Don't take our word for it, experience it for yourself!
The 2.0km Cooly Classic course spans four of Queensland’s most well known beaches – Snapper Rocks, Rainbow Bay, Coolangatta and Kirra.
From the world-famous Snapper Rocks surf break you’ll swim West past Greenmount and Coolangatta beaches and onto your final turn directly in front of Kirra Beach.
Cooly 3.0 swimmers will continue past Kirra Point on a short extended section before returning to the finish at Kirra Beach.
Competitors in the Cooly 5.0 will continue past Kirra Beach and make a turn just beyond North Kirra SLSC.
The 1.0km Cooly 1000 starts on Coolangatta Beach and finishes at Kirra. This option is the perfect introduction for less experienced ocean swimmers.
