The iconic Magnetic Island to Townsville Swim spanning 8km is the showcase event of the TOWSA Open Water Swim Series and celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2024.

Swimmers will start at Picnic Bay on Magnetic Island and finish on the Townsville shoreline, directly in front of Strand Park.

Swimmers can choose to conquer the 8km either solo or in teams of either two or four. All swimmers will be guided from Magnetic Island to Townsville by a paddler.
