Mooloolaba Beach is a relaxing seaside town only a 50 minute drive from Noosa and a 1 hour 30 minute drive from Brisbane.
The white sand beach and glamorous beachfront esplanade is a foodies delight, being full of outdoor cafes, juice bars and restaurants.
Mooloolaba Beach is frequently voted one of Queensland’s best beaches each year and it’s easy to see why with its soft sand and sparkly blue water.
It is home to the Mooloolaba Surf Lifesaving Club and the annual ocean swim the Mooloolaba Mile which has become a main event for ocean swimmers across Queensland thanks to its iconic 1.6km swim.
There are multiple beach car parks along the Mooloolaba Esplanade and Parkyn Parade that offer easy access to the beach. There is also street parking available along these two streets and off multiple side streets.
Buses 600, 611 and 615 all arrive at bus stops that are only a short walk to the beach.
There is something for the whole family to enjoy post-ocean swim at Mooloolaba Beach and its surrounds.
For those that love being on the water, try catching your lunch on a fishing charter in the beautiful waters of Mooloolah River. If you love being in the water and exploring the stunning marine life this planet has to offer, enjoy a scuba dive at the sunken wreckage of the ex HMAS Brisbane, which is now teaming with beautiful reefs and colourful fish.
Take a trip to the Sea Life Aquarium to get up close and personal with an array of marine species including sharks, seals, octopus, sting rays and penguins. You can even dive with sharks and swim with a seal if you are up for a thrilling experience.
If you are after something a little slower you walk or ride along the esplanade taking in the stunning ocean views while popping in and out of boutiques along the way.
Moolooaba is buzzing with foodies, with a huge range of cafes and restaurants to choose from, with Fish on Parkyn known for their incredible seafood and The Spit Mooloolaba the perfect place to order fish and chips before digging into them picnic style on the beach.
The Velo Project, The Nectar Bar, Schwenkee Espresso and Acai Brothers are all popular locations for coffee, breakfast and of course an acai bowl.
