The Strand Swim Qualifier is held at Strand Park Beach, Townsville, QLD and is hosted by the Townsville Open Water Swimming Association (TOWSA).

Swimmers can choose from three distances; 1km, 2km or 4km in an around-the-buoys course format.

Starting at Strand Park Beach, swimmers will cover a traditional rectangle swim course, before finishing on the Beach, next to the Townsville Picnic Bay Surf Lifesaving Club.

This event is a qualifier for the Magnetic Island to Townsville Swim and a part of the TOWSA Open Water Swim Series.
