Watermans to the Wall is a true WA classic, a point-to-point ocean swim that captures the best of Perth’s northern beaches. Spanning 2.7km from Watermans Bay to the groyne wall at Trigg, it’s a scenic cruise along golden coastline, rolling swells, and clean, turquoise water.
The course is long enough to feel like a solid effort, but it’s also accessible, with plenty of support both in and out of the water. Swim solo or grab a mate, this one welcomes all kinds of swimmers, from seasoned surf vets to first-timers looking for that next salty milestone.
The event is run by the Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club, so you know you’re in safe hands, and the logistics are refreshingly simple: get dropped at the start, swim your way south, then dry off and join the locals for a beachside feed, coffee, and a few post-swim yarns.
Whether you’re chasing a PB, ticking off a new swim, or just in it for the ocean fix, Watermans to the Wall delivers that laidback WA energy in spades. A summer essential.
