Take part in the pinnacle of open water swimming in SA.

The SA Masters State Open Water Championships is the pinnacle event in the South Australian ocean swimming season for Masters swimmers. It’s where fitness meets fun, and salty laps turn into state-level goals.

This event attracts swimmers from clubs across SA and beyond, coming together for a morning of friendly competition, community camaraderie, and classic Adelaide coastal vibes. Whether you’re chasing a podium or just ticking off a new distance in your ocean swim journey, this is the state swim to do it.

What's on offer

1km Ocean Swim

years

Perfect for newer ocean swimmers or those building up to longer distances. This out-and-back course hugs the coastline, offering calm waters and a confidence-boosting swim with plenty of support along the way.

3km Ocean Swim

years

A great challenge for more experienced swimmers. This longer course takes you further along Adelaide’s stunning coastline, giving you time to find your rhythm, soak up the scenery, and push your pace in a well-marked, race-day setting.
