Why this event?

In the lead-up to Swimrun Australia’s Gold Coast event, get your swim-run on in a new Stroke ‘N Stride event at Pizzey Park.

The aquathlon-style race consists of a run section in Pizzey Park and a swim in the pool at the Miami Aquatic Centre.

You can choose between a 1 Lap, 2.5km race or a 2 Lap, 5.4km race. There are also fun races for kids from 7-11 years.

Race at speed, or take your time, Stroke ‘N Stride is for everyone.

On the day

What's on offer

1.1km Aquathlon

KIDS 7-9 YEARS

7 - 9 years

This race consists of a 1km run followed by a 100m swim, for a total of 1.1km. The race starts on the grass north of the skate park, then circumnavigates the small lagoon in an anti-clockwise direction, passing the Pump Track and Skate Park, before making its way through the carpark into the Miami Aquatic Centre.

2.3km Aquathlon

KIDS 10-13 YEARS

10 - 13 years

This race consists of a 2.1km run followed by a 200m swim, for a total of 2.3km. The race starts on the grass north of the skate park, then circumnavigates the lagoon in an anti-clockwise direction, before making its way through the carpark into the Miami Aquatic Centre.

2.5km Aquathlon

OPEN 1 LAP

12 years

This race consists of a 2.1km run followed by a 400m swim, for a total of 2.5km. The race starts on the grass north of the skate park, then circumnavigates the lagoon in an anti-clockwise direction, before making its way through the carpark into the Miami Aquatic Centre.

5.4km Aquathlon

OPEN 2 LAPS

14 years

This race consists of a 2.1km run, a 400m swim, a 2.5km run, and a 400m swim, for a total of 5.4km. The race starts on the grass north of the skate park, then circumnavigates the lagoon in an anti-clockwise direction, before making its way through the carpark into the Miami Aquatic Centre. Then, the same lap is repeated.
