The Beachside Radiology Coffs Coast Ocean Swims are held at Coffs Harbour’s Jetty Beach, on the beautiful Mid-North Coast. The swim courses are within the sheltered waters of the harbour, next to the iconic timber jetty, a reminder of the early days of coastal transport by sea and ‘timber getting’.
The first swim is the Mike Blewitt Coffs Coast 600m around the jetty at 8 am.
Next is the John Mills North Coast Swim Academy 300m swim around two large buoys on the north side of the jetty, starting at 8.40 am.
The main event is the Beachside Radiology 2km harbour swim, looping out and around the jetty, starting at 9.15 am.
After your swim, replenish your energy and check out some of the delicious cafes in the area or go and explore the beautiful sites Coffs has to offer.
The 600m ‘Mike Blewitt Coffs Coast’ swim starts on the southern side of the jetty, goes around the jetty and finishes on the beach on the northern side of the jetty. There will be two separate wave starts – male and female.
The 300m John Mills ‘North Coast Swim Academy’ swim, for younger entrants, will be held on the northern side of the jetty, and is an out, across and back course.
The Beachside Radiology Coffs Coast 2km swim starts and finishes on the northern side of the jetty and is a clockwise course that goes out beyond the jetty, takes a loop around several bouys on the southern side of the jetty, before returning back around the jetty itself, and into the beach on the northern side.
The 2km swim will include an open wave for competitors in the Open category. Please choose this option when entering online. There is a limit of 25 swimmers each of male and female swimmers in the Open wave.
Once you finish your swim, replenish your energy at the Coffs Harbour Yacht Club or any of the cafes and restaurants in the Coffs Harbour area.
Make a weekend of it, and enjoy the beautiful sights of the region, and the wonderful array of accommodation, cafes and restaurants that Coffs Harbour and the surrounding areas have to offer.
Before you leave, you might want to check out the iconic Big Banana, Dolphin Marine Conservation Park, the stunning views at Forest Sky Pier or the natural beauty of Bongli Bongli National Park.
Parking is readily available in the Jetty Foreshore area or surrounding streets.
