ResetThe Terrigal Ocean Swim Classic includes a fun and exciting set of open water swims for the whole family to take part in.
Having established itself for more than ten years as an Easter Saturday swim, it takes place at the beautiful Terrigal Beach on the NSW’s Central Coast.
Commencing in 2023 the event has partnered with The Cancer Council to offer an additional ‘fun swim’ called the Daffodil Dip. This initiative is the first ever Daffodil Dip to be offered and the aim is to turn Terrigal Beach yellow for local cancer patients. The 400m swim out to Goldie and back will be packed with water safety so if you’ve ever wanted to dip your toes into ocean swimming – this is your time to shine!
Both the 1km swim and 400m Daffodil Dip are ideal for open water swimmers of all abilities and ages, with the minimum age set at 10 years old (younger for the Daffodil Dip if accompanied by an adult over 18 years old). The 2km swim is a little more challenging.
Terrigal is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. Bring your surfboard and shred the waves at Terrigal Beach. The stunning beach is the ideal place to relax and enjoy and the walk up the Skillion Lookout provides breathtaking views.
One of the best-known beaches on the Central Coast, the beautiful Terrigal Beach sets the perfect venue for the 23rd Terrigal Ocean Swim Classic.
With a Fun swim, 1km and 2km swim, the event are ideal for swimmers of all abilities.
As a northeast-facing beach, Terrigal’s surf conditions are generally gentle and protected from the worst weather.
Swimmers as young as 10 years can take part in the open water events and medals and prizes are awarded in all age categories.
Terrigal is a popular seaside town located on NSW’s Central Coast. It is the ideal destination for a weekend getaway to soak up the sun and relax.
Bring your surfboard, snorkels or fishing rod and a picnic and hang out at the beautiful Terrigal beach.
The Skillion Lookout is a must-do with stunning views of the coastline and you can then take a walk along the Boardwalk from the Haven back to Terrigal Beach.
Treat yourself after the swim with incredible food at any of the excellent restaurants and cafes located in Terrigal.
Terrigal Haven has all-day free parking and it’s just a short stroll along the new boardwalk to Terrigal Beach.
Wilson Street multi-storey parking station has all-day free undercover parking.

Commemorative medals for 1st 2nd & 3rd in each male & female age group for 1km and 2km swims.
Merchandise
Order event Long Sleeved T-shirts along with swim entry and pick up at the beach on race day. Sizes from small to XXXL, $30 each.
Under 18 swimmers
Entries of swimmers under the age of 18 must be completed/supervised by responsible parents/guardians. These entries must be accompanied by valid parental consent, which is the parent’s full name and mobile phone number, and the entry must include the parent’s email address, not that of the U18 entrant. Failure to provide such valid parental consent will result in the entry being removed from the entries list. Parental consent must be entered in the Emergency Contact field on the entry portal. Entries of Under 18 swimmers must use the parent’s email address, not that of the Under 18 entrant.
Under 10’s participating in the Daffodil Dip MUST be accompanied at all times by an adult over the age of 18 years old.
Wetsuits & Fins
The wearing of fins and wetsuits is allowed, however, swimmers using these aids will be ineligible for medals.
