Following the success of this year’s swim series, the organisers of the Great Barrier Reef Ocean Swim are excited to announce that the ‘most beautiful swim in the world’ will be held on the 21st of October 2023, on the magnificent Agincourt Reef off the coast of Port Douglas.

Entries open on the 1st of December and swimmers are encouraged, along with friends and families, to register early to experience one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

Gareth Sykes, Founder of GBROSS, and Director of major sponsor, Team Elite Merchandise, says he is happy to be bringing avid ocean swimmers this opportunity again in 2023.

“We were extremely happy with the feedback we received from swimmers after both swims and are very excited to bring the opportunity to swim on top of the stunning Agincourt reef in next year’s swim,” he said.

“We will look to attract more numbers in 2023 in what will be another cracking event.”

Liesel Jones OAM, who is again on board for 2023 as our official event ambassador after attending both days of this year’s series, says she loved her experience swimming in the 1km swim and presenting medals to all participants.

“What an experience, the Great Barrier Reef Ocean Swim Series was so spectacular. I did the 1km and I loved it – the coral, fish and sunshine were next level!”
