The Mornington Twilight Swim, hosted by the Mornington Life Saving Club is held at Mills Beach, Victoria.
This event is one of the only twilight swims on the ocean swimming calendar and is one loved by regular Victorian open-water swimmers.
Swimmers can choose from four swim distances; a 400m nipper and novice swim, 1.2km, 2.5km ocean swim and the 500m Engine Sprint, all in an around-the-buoys course format.
Be sure to stick around post-swim and enjoy the lightening atmosphere with a DJ pumping, BBQ, bar and kiosk open for food and drinks.
This event is the fourth event in the Great Victorian Swim Series.
Quinn Power 400m Novice & Nipper Swim
The Quinn Power 400m Novice & Nipper Swim is perfect for those new to open water swimming or just looking for a shorter distance. Prizes will be given to the male and female winners.
1.2km Swim
The popular 1.2km swim is an out and back course with medals given to the top three male and female winners in each age group category.
VOCWS 2.5km Swim
The 2.5km swim is great for those seasoned swimmers looking for a challenge to tackle that is further than the classic 1.2km swim. Prizes will be given to the male and female winners.
Engine Sprint 500m
The 500m Engine Sprint is a splash and dash for the superfish to battle it out. All place getters in the 1.2km swim will get a free entry into the Engine Sprint. The first male and female to cross the line will receive a pack full of Engine goodies.
Swimmers entered into the 500m Engine Sprint, 1.2km swim and VOCWS 2.5km Swim will receive a free event t-shirt as part of their entry fee.
